open to all players of any nationality and strength...
And try to qualify for sunday !

On Sunday, stay to watch the exciting final matches,
between the 16 very strong qualified players !

 

Tournament hall : Building of the "Conseil Général de Meurthe et Moselle", 48 rue du Sergent Blandan, 54000 Nancy (Quarter Nancy Thermal, 15 minutes on foot from the railway station, or take the bus n°123 and stop at "Thermal").
Free car-parking at the tournament inside conseil général.

- Rated for new FIDE RAPID ELO

 

Saturday 9 march 2013 à 2pm : International rapid open
Open to any category of players, young or adults, beginners to grandmasters!
9 rapid games of 15 minutes (+ 3 seconds per move) per player.
Final checking (obligatory) at the tournament until 1:30pm.
Game 1 at 2pm
Prize giving ceremony at about 9:00 pm
The best 16 players are qualified for the final matches of the sunday.

Payment of the entry fee between 11am and 1:30pm directly at the tournament hall (thanks to prepare the exact amount in cash).

Entry Fee :
* Free for GM, IM, wGM, wIM (if registration by email) and no other invitation condition.
* 16 euros for players over 20 years old (20 euros if registration in march)
* 8 euros for players under 20 years old (10 euros if registration in march)

27 prizes (total 3000 euros), guaranteed regardless the number of players, will be given on saturday evening :

Sunday 10 march 2013 from 9:30am :
Final matches "cup system"

With the 16 qualified players from the Saturday open.

2 rapid games 15min+3 sec per match, and then if necessary 2 blitz games 3min+2sec.

Free entry for spectators. Live games broadcasting on giant screen in the tournament hall, and on internet on french federation website.

Eighth-final at 9:30am with 16 players
Quarter-final at 11:30am with 8 players
Semi-final at 2:30pm with 4 players
Final at 4:30pm with 2 players and final ceremony at the end of the match.

8 prizes guaranteed (total 12000 euros) will be given after the final :
8 Eighth-finalists : 250 euros each
4 Quarter-finalists : 500 euros each
2 Semi -finalists : 1000 euros each
1 Looser in Final : 2000 euros
1 Winner : 4000 euros
